PhotoBiz & Zibster Domain Purchase Set Up

This guide will walk you through the domain set up process when a client purchases a new domain registration in their PhotoBiz or Zibster account.

Step One: Open The Domain Ticket

  1. In the domain queue, find the unassigned ticket labeled:
Domain Setup: API – New Domain Request

  2. Click the Ticket ID to take ownership and begin setup.

Step Two: Verify The Domain Name

  1. Inside the ticket, the new domain registration will be listed.

  2. Log in to the domainreg1@photobiz.com email account to confirm the registrant email.

Verifying The Domain

There are two possible scenarios:

Scenario 1: Verification Email Present

  • Look for an email with a subject line similar to:
    "IMMEDIATE VERIFICATION required for clientdomainname.com"

  • Open the email and click the verification link.

  • A green confirmation message will appear once the domain is verified.

    • (If the domain was already verified, the page will state this instead.)

Scenario 2: No Verification Email

  • If no verification email appears in the inbox:

    1. Complete the domain setup as normal.

    2. Reassign the ticket to Brent, noting that the Enom verification email did not arrive.

    3. Brent will confirm registration and return the ticket to you.

Step Three: Set Up The Domain

  1. Copy the domain name directly from the ticket to avoid typos.

  2. Navigate to the Domains tab in the intranet.

Confirm Client Setup

  • Check that the client has:

    • Selected a template.

    • A shared domain ending in .photobiz.com or .zibster.com with SITEBIZ.

  • If the client has not selected a template:

    • Send the canned email about choosing a template before proceeding.

Click on Domains Tab

  2. Navigate to the Domains tab in the intranet.

Confirm Client Setup

  • If the client has not selected a template:

    • Send the canned email about choosing a template and set the ticket for follow up the next day. We're unable to complete a domain setup without a template being selected.

Edit Domain Details

  1. Click EDIT FULL under the temporary shared domain.

  2. Update the following fields:

    • Domain Name: Replace with the client’s purchased domain.

    • Domain Type: Set to UserPrivate.

  3. Click Save Changes.

Step Four: Configure DNS

  1. After saving, click the DNS button under the new domain.

Generate Name Servers

  • Click CREATE ON ROUTE 53.

  • Note: Name servers are unique and auto-generated. They cannot be customized.

Add Basic DNS Records

  • From the drop-down, select BASIC RECORDS.

  • Click ADD TO ROUTE 53.

Update Name Servers

  1. Click SET NS IN ENOM.

Save Name Servers

  1. Enter your intranet password when prompted.

  2. Confirm by selecting Yes, update name servers.

This will push the new name servers and DNS records to the domain.

Step Five: Activate SSL

  1. After the name servers are updated, open the client’s website in a browser.

  2. Confirm the website loads the PhotoBiz site correctly.

  3. Log into the client’s account and navigate to the SSL settings.

  4. Activate the SSL certificate for the website.

How To Activate SSL Encryption

Step Six: Enable reCAPTCHA

After you've activated the SSL certificate, set up the Google reCAPTCHA for the client. Once you've set up the recaptcha keys, test the contact page to confirm that it is submitting properly using the Support Team information.

Try to add the client's email as an owner and activate notifications from Google recaptcha for them. This will ensure if they need to adjust anything down the road, Google will email them directly.

Final Steps: Clear Website Checklist & Send Confirmation Email

After you've activated the SSL and added the Google reCAPTCHA, the website checklist should be completed. Click the button to clear the next step message and display the notification center.

Send the canned confirmation email for new domain registration set up being completed via ticket system and solve ticket.
